Battersea Park Fireworks Display
Neuron were tasked with providing an audio hire solution that would cover 50,000 people for Battersea Park fireworks, one of the largest in the UK. With the main spectacle being Jubilee Firework’s impressive timecoded fireworks display, Neuron needed to provide sufficient coverage and volume for audio playback and announcements.
With the previous operator having utilised a large-format line array, we provided predicative audio simulations to show that we could provide the same level of coverage with just a flown pair of our Danley Sound Labs J3-94 speakers. Front fill was then supplemented with a pair of Danley SH96HO and bass was reinforced by 12 Danley TH118 tapped horn subwoofers.
Being able to deliver a show size of this scale with this many boxes is a prime example of Danley’s product capabilities. As we required less speaker cabinets, amplifiers and cabling to deliver this event, Neuron were able to keep transport costs lower and more environmentally friendly. As the audio comes from a single source, we were able to achieve crystal clear audio intelligibility over 180m from the PA system.
We enjoyed working with Neuron. once again on our annual Fireworks display. They were helpful and communicative in the lead up to, and throughout, the event period. The team on the day were professional and obliging and their experience was valuable in adapting to challenging weather conditions and other demands of winter outdoor events.
