Digital Diwali

Helping the Hindu community celebrate online

With the disruption of the Pandemic in 2020, the Manchester Hindu community looked for new and innovative ways in which they could come together to celebrate the festival of Diwali. The Festival of Light usually sees large public gatherings taking place across the week of celebrations.

In conjunction with Diwali Mela, Bolton Hindu Forum, and radical outdoor arts collective Walk The Plank; Neuron assumed the role of Digital Partner for the event. The event saw a week-long programme of live streams broadcast out to the community via a brand new website specially commissioned for the festival.

The digital festival featured traditional storytelling, music and dance workshops, musical performances all streamed live from our studio and culminated with the fiery headline the burning of Ravana – the ten-headed demon king shot on location in Salford and Cheshire.

Neuron provided full coordination of content generation in our studio and on location, post-production and editing, management of the event programme, and streaming of the full event programme from our premises.

As the pandemic continues, we’ve since been engaged again to provide a suite of services for Holi festival.

Neuron Pro Audio were crucial in the delivery of our online event. I found them knowledgeable, resourceful and happy to go that extra mile to help produce a quality event. They have a great studio too! I would recommend them whole-heartedly to anyone who would choose to use their variety of services. Nick Clarke - Digital Diwali Creative Director
