Festival Production Services for The Beat-Herder Festival

At The Fortress stage, Neuron deployed a Danley Sound Labs system designed for high SPL and consistent coverage. Two Jericho J7-95 loudspeakers were paired with eight TH118XL tapped-horn subwoofers, a formidable combination that delivered immense low-end presence and exceptional clarity across the audience area.

Control came via an Allen & Heath SQ5 with a DX168 stage box and Dante networking, providing engineers the flexibility and speed required for quick changeovers. Monitoring was handled by Martin Audio LE200 wedges, ensuring artists enjoyed precise on-stage sound.

For DJ backline, the Fortress featured Pioneer CDJ-2000NXS2s, a DJM-900NXS2 mixer and classic Technics SL-1210MK2 turntables. The result was a system that met the demands of headline DJs while maintaining the sound quality festivalgoers expect from a Neuron-engineered stage.

Over at The Factory, the focus was on precision and power in equal measure. A pair of Danley SH96HO tops and six TH118XL subwoofers provided a tight, controlled sound signature ideal for high-energy electronic performances. Balcony fills of Yamaha DSR112s and DSR118Ws extended the coverage into raised audience areas, maintaining consistency throughout the tent.

The stage ran on an Allen & Heath dLive C3500 with a DM64 rack, the same platform used on international tours, giving engineers total control over every detail. With Powersoft X-Series amplification, the rig delivered the perfect balance of headroom and definition.

DJ backline featured Pioneer and Technics classics once again, providing artists a familiar and trusted setup for back-to-back performances that kept crowds moving deep into the night.

For Smokey Tentacles, Neuron delivered a complete audio and lighting package, ensuring the stage had both sonic impact and visual flair. The audio setup combined Danley SM80 tops with TH118 subwoofers, powered by a Powersoft X4 amplifier and managed through an Allen & Heath SQ7 with dual DX168 expanders. This configuration provided exceptional clarity, headroom and reliability throughout the weekend.

Lighting transformed Smokey Tentacles into a vibrant late-night destination. The rig featured Chauvet ColourDash LED Par Hex 12s, Chauvet Rogue R2 LED Spots, Chauvet COLORado Solo 1s and Showtec Sunstrip LEDs, fixtures chosen for their versatility and punch. Control came via a ChamSys MagicQ MQ70 lighting console, giving operators precise, creative control over the dynamic shows across multiple artists.

In addition to the main stages, Neuron supplied lighting production for the Working Men’s Club, a smaller but equally lively venue on site. The design included Chauvet Rogue R2 Spots, COLORado Solo 1s and Thunderwash 600 RGBWs, all programmed via ChamSys MagicQ control and a Lenovo ThinkPad interface.

This rig provided a flexible lighting environment that could shift from live bands to DJs effortlessly, complementing the room’s intimate energy and helping artists stand out in the festival’s packed schedule.
