Tesla Model Y UK Launch – Birmingham
Supporting a Landmark Announcement
In May 2025, Tesla hosted the UK launch of their latest Model Y at their Birmingham Longbridge site. For this important announcement, they required a straightforward but reliable technical setup to provide staging, audio and video support in the venue’s vast warehouse environment. Neuron was brought in to supply a compact production package that delivered clarity, focus and professionalism.
The Challenge
A Warehouse Becomes a Launch Venue
The Longbridge site is an expansive vehicle facility, designed for car movements rather than live audiences. With guests gathered in such a large space, the priority was to provide clear speech reinforcement, a defined focal point for the stage, and a video display that could carry the launch content without being dwarfed by the warehouse. The solution needed to be efficient, tidy, and suited to a one-day build and operation.

The Solution
Video, Audio and Lighting in One Package
Neuron supplied and installed a complete AV package tailored to these needs:
- Video – An 18m² Unilumin UPAD IV 2.6mm LED wall, driven by a Novastar 660 Pro processor, was positioned as the backdrop to the stage. It provided a sharp, professional surface for holding slides, countdown content and branded visuals.
- Audio – A compact but powerful system was specified, including Danley TH118XL subwoofers and SM80 synergy horns, powered by a Powersoft X4 amplifier. Additional Yamaha DSR112 active speakers ensured even coverage across the immediate audience area.
- Playback & DJ – A Pioneer DJM-900NXS2 mixer and CDJ-3000 players supported background music and playback elements during the event.
- Staging – The focal point of the event was a clean Litedeck stage platform finished with black carpet and cotton casement, designed to host the presenters and integrate neatly with the LED wall.
Neuron’s technicians delivered, installed, and operated the system, with the setup built and de-rigged on the same day.

The Result
A Smooth, Professional Launch
The event ran smoothly, with the AV setup providing a professional conference-style environment inside the warehouse. The LED wall ensured all guests had a clear view of the launch content, while the audio system provided both clarity for speeches and enough punch for musical playback.
The stage acted as a natural gathering point for the announcement and was unobtrusive enough to keep attention on the cars themselves. By focusing on essentials rather than scale, Tesla had a simple but effective platform to mark the Model Y’s arrival in the UK.

Conclusion
Scaled to the Brief
This project demonstrates how effective AV support doesn’t always mean large-scale production. By providing a well-balanced package of staging, sound, and video, Neuron helped Tesla create an environment in which to deliver its message clearly and confidently. In the context of a large industrial building, the right equipment in the right place made the launch practical, polished, and successful.
