The Lucky Club Camden – Bar AV Installation

Owner George Hartshorn contacted us during the early planning stages of his outdoor roof terrace bar atop the iconic Camden Market in North London. The primary requirement for the audio system was to provide even balanced coverage for background music but with the capability to turn up for summertime events and parties. With numerous high-value properties in the vicinity, the bar operates under strict licence conditions for noise leakage, which was a key factor in the design process.

We chose Funktion One F5 and SB8 pairing on Powersoft Quattrocannali and Mezzo amplifiers, also using Powersoft WM touch control screen for input and zoning control, saving the need for additional processing.

With the noise-sensitive location, we worked closely with Camden Market management and their acoustic consultant through the design and commissioning of the system and chose a Dateq SPL6 advanced limiting system to ensure that music levels didn’t exceed pre-agreed levels based on live feedback from an installed Class 2 measurement microphone. After nearly a year of operation, the venue has had no noise complaints despite many late-night summer parties, which we consider a great success!
